Is IFCRBP's mission limited to MENA region?

Promoting human rights through conflict prevention and peacebuilding is an inclusive endeavor in which every state and nation should be actively engaged. Recognizing the MENA region’s status as one of the least peaceful areas globally and its consequential impact on global peace, we have chosen to initiate our efforts in this region. Additionally, as the founder hails from the Middle East and observes the notable absence of women in both political and professional spheres, it is imperative to demonstrate that women in turbulent regions possess the capacity to lead transformative initiatives. Through international partnerships, we aim to achieve remarkable outcomes in advancing peace and human rights.

Your endeavor in the MENA region poses significant challenges, primarily due to various factors, with the predominant one being the deeply ingrained masculine traits prevalent in its societies. This aspect may present the most formidable obstacle for you, particularly as a female undertaking such a mission. How do you intend to address this fact?

I am confident that my dedication, expertise and profession in peacebuilding and conflict prevention have not allowed me to dwell on the challenges that may arise during my journey. Nonetheless, as a woman native to the region, well-versed in its culture and traditions and acquainted with its masculine and conservative attributes, I believe I am uniquely positioned to devise mechanisms for peaceful conflict resolution more effectively than specialists from outside the region.

Furthermore, the international treaties and global dedication to advancing women’s empowerment in peacebuilding endeavors and conflict resolution would streamline my path in assuming such a significant role. However, should this not be the case, it presents an opportunity to assess the effectiveness of international conventions in empowering women within this crucial domain.

What standards do you adhere to when selecting your team members or employees?

As we seek inventive and forward-thinking conflict resolution strategies, our team members are carefully chosen based on their standout skills. Following candidate evaluations, tailored roles and responsibilities are crafted to align with their expertise, enabling us to unlock their latent capabilities to effectively achieve desired outcomes. Unlike the typical hiring process, where candidates are expected to conform to the predefined roles of the position, which I consider to be the most limiting factor to their talents and inherent abilities.

We aim to adopt unconventional approaches not only in our conflict resolution strategies but also in our recruitment methods, aspiring to stand out prominently in our field.
