Fostering Community Engagement: IFCRBP Mission to France and Geneva.

In October 2024, the President and Representative of the International Federation for Conflict Resolution and Building Peace (IFCRBP),
Ms. Bara’ Al Abbadi, commenced her official mission to Geneva to meet with Mr. Gilles Pauphilet, Member of the IFCRBP Executive Board.
The visit focused on establishing the strategic work plan for IFCRBP’s first-stage mission, defining key priorities, partnership frameworks, and operational goals to strengthen the Federation’s institutional presence.
During the mission, Mr. Pauphilet graciously guided Ms. Al Abbadi on a tour that began in France and continued in Geneva, facilitating her orientation and engagement with local networks. He also introduced her to representatives of one of the partner NGOs, supporting IFCRBP’s efforts to expand collaboration and enhance its visibility within the international humanitarian and peacebuilding community.
Every small effort contributes to a larger vision of peace — this facilitation also enabled Ms. Al Abbadi to engage in a series of community-focused meetings, aimed at promoting inclusive dialogue, partnership-building, and local participation in peace and development initiatives.
For the IFCRBP Representative, community engagement is at its core about human connection — recognizing the strength, wisdom, and courage within every community and nurturing it so that peace and development grow organically from within, rather than being imposed from outside. Meeting people who share a similar mindset and vision is central to her mission, transcending borders, nationalities, and distances. She believes that “white hearts” exist — individuals with genuine intention and commitment — and it is always worth finding them. Under a shared umbrella of purpose, each contributes their unique perspective and energy, together creating outcomes far greater than the sum of their parts.
Fostering Community Engagement: IFCRBP Mission in Egypt Addressing the Sudan Crisis.

From July to October 2025, the community engagement activities in Egypt were organized and facilitated by IFCRBP Executive Board Member,
Mr. Hisham Aboulela, who warmly received IFCRBP Representative, Ms. Bara’ Al Abbadi, upon her arrival to initiate a series of meetings and meaningful gatherings in support of IFCRBP’s mission. Mr. Aboulela, who serves as the Honorary General Consul, is a distinguished diplomat and businessman with deep roots and a strong network across the MENA region. His dual nationalities have enabled him to bridge cultures and foster genuine connections across diverse communities.
The engagements brought together a remarkable group of diplomats, politicians, activists, and business leaders—many of whom have either worked in conflict-affected environments or personally lived through the challenges of displacement. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere over dinner, participants shared heartfelt reflections on how moments of forced migration and hardship became turning points in their lives—transformative stages that sparked new beginnings, innovation, and cross-regional collaboration.
Each story revealed how resilience and hope can rise from the most desperate circumstances. What once seemed like an ending had, in time, become the foundation of success and purpose. These authentic exchanges deeply reinforced Ms. Al Abbadi’s conviction that humanity transcends borders—that every individual, regardless of their path or profession, holds the power to inspire change and contribute to global peace and humanitarian advancement.
